Institut für Soziale Infrastruktur is a private social science research, training and consultancy institute, founded in 1991 and based in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. In 2014 Institut für Soziale Infrastrukture changed its legal status from a private partnership into a limited liability company. Situation analysis, problem identification as well as the development and testing of structural and personal solutions to problems, are the essence of its work.
Institut für Soziale Infrastruktur is experienced in conceptualizing and carrying out projects for regional and national authorities and institutions as well as for the European Commission . It coordinates partnerships and initiatives at regional, national and European level. One of the main aims of these projects is to arrive at a productive synthesis of the expertise of the different project partners representing various sectors and functions, such as policy-makers and practitioners, public authorities and NGOs or experts and target group representatives. The bridging of gaps between different sectors in sciences and policies has been successfully achieved in various Institut für Soziale Infrastruktur projects.
